While walking in the park, I saw a few of these colorful cylindrical attractions. The camera was positioned where the rays of sunlight were perpendicular to the ends of the pink fronds. The green needles added just the complimentary color I was looking for. Photo taken with Canon 28-135mm EF IS lens at ISO400. Camera was hand-held with a shutter speed of 1/40 sec at f/8, to get some depth of field. Oh, yes, this is a picture of the street sweeper brush used to clean debris off the pavement.
